A Visit to Wheel House Cheese

One of my favorite meals is a meat and cheese platter. Mmmm…if there were no consequences to excessive consumption of the two I’d have it all the time. A little prosciutto here a dab of d’Affinois there throw in a couple of Marcona almonds and a drizzle of honey and you’ve got one happy gal. Recently, I was invited to an evening at Wheel House Cheese in Culver City. An evening of complimentary tastes of my favorite food? I’m there!

Wheel House is an unassuming shop located on busy Washington Blvd. but behind its door is some of the best cheese you’ll ever find. This small shop comes with a large pedigree as it’s owned by Alex Josef and Steve Jones – the latter just so happens to be one of America’s top cheesemongers.

At Wheel House you’ll find a variety of cheeses in all tastes and textures. You’ll also find an impressive selection of meats

and beverages.

In fact the selection of wine, beer and cider is brand new to the establishment. Each bottle is hand selected and accompanied by a card offering flavor notes and pairing options.

That’s just what I need because when it comes to wine pairings I’m a bit lost. Luckily, on my visit they did the pairing for me and I tried some delicious combos of cheese, meat and wine.

When it comes to my favorite foods Wheel House Cheese does an incredible job. I see a lot of cheese boards in my future!
