Celebrating Cinco de Mayo with Cabo Chips

¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! I’m on the road home from vacation so I won’t be able to celebrate much. Be sure to have a margarita for me! Since I knew I’d be traveling today I decided to celebrate a bit early with the perfect festive snack – Cabo Chips.

Cabo Chips recently sent me some of their product and I could not have been more excited. These are some of the best chips I’ve ever tried. They come in two flavor – Blue Corn with Salt and Lime and Original with Soy Sauce and Lime .Both flavors are delicious but my heart belongs to Original. I seriously can’t stop eating them. In fact, as soon as I started to write this post I grabbed a bag and am munching on them right now.

Aside from their delicious flavor, Cabo Chips, are also non-GMO and gluten free. Each chip has five simple ingredients and is handmade in the heart of Orange County. But why are they called Cabo Chips? Well, they were inspired by the owner’s boating trips in Cabo San Lucas and the operations did originate there. So it’s only appropriate that we enjoy them on Cinco de Mayo.

Like I said, I had my celebration a bit early. I took an avocado, added a little garlic salt and started dipping away.

Oh man, avocados and Cabo Chips are a match made in heaven! Original…blue corn…doesn’t matter. Either chip goes great with this fabulous fruit. But don’t take my word for it…grab yourself a bag and try it out!

In SoCal Cabo Chips are found at Whole Foods, Sprouts, Ralphs, Albertsons and small shops. Or you can buy them online here.
