Eating at Burgerim in Hollywood

Lately LA has been having quite the burger boom. It’s always been a burger town. Heck, there was even a documentary made called Burger Town which explored the area’s devotion to this particular food (incidentally, it’s pretty awesome and I highly recommend watching it) but it seems to have exploded this year. I certainly don’t mind because I never get tired of a delicious burger. Recently, I was invited to preview the newest location of Burgerim, an Israeli chain expanding into the US, and I happily went to check it out.

What makes Burgerim unique is that they offer mini burgers which are available in packs of two, three or sixteen if you’re super duper hungry (or sharing, I suppose). There’s a seemingly infinite of options available because the burgers are completely customizable from the bun to the meat to the toppings.  Speaking of the meat…there are ten different options to try from including Wagyu Beef, Salmon and Chorizo. On my visit I opted for the Beef, Lamb and Turkey.

I decided to have them house style with a sesame seed bun, lettuce, tomato, onion and the house sauce.

They are pretty dang tasty! The beef was totally juicy, the turkey was full of flavor and the lamb…well…the lamb was outstanding. I was skeptical to try it at first but it quickly became my favorite. Slightly reminiscent of gyro meat it brought a distinctly Mediterranean feel to the burger.

Of course, you can’t have a burger without fries and Burgerim serves them British style.

Chips! They were absolutely delicious and I easily ate the entire container.

Burgerim is located at 5001 Melrose Ave. right near Paramount Studios. With it’s flavorful food and reasonable prices it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.
