Enjoying Fresh Avocado at Del Taco + Giveaway

full disclosure: I was provided with two Del Taco gift cards in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.

Once, on a family trip to Seattle we stopped at a sandwich shop for a quick bite. My sister tried to order avocado for her sandwich to which the employee said, “you must be from California.” Turns out, not everyone is as lucky to enjoy fresh avocados as we are. Just another perk of living in this beautiful state. And now we can add another place where we can enjoy them with our meal – Del Taco.

Del Taco

You know Del Taco is one of the few fast food spots I enjoy and I’ve got a soft spot for their tacos and crinkle fries. I’ve also got a soft sot for avocado so I’m stoked that I can now order a slice (or three) to any item for a small fee (3o cents for one, 90 cents for three). In addition to this there’s a new menu item – the Epic Grilled Chicken Avocado Burrito.

Epic Grilled Chicken Avocado Burrito

I recently picked one up and, let me tell you, it’s ginormous! It’s chock full of black beans, lime rice, salsa, grilled chicken, pico de gallo and six slices of avocado. Six! It was quite a mouthful and tasty, too.

If you’re hankering to try the new Epic Grilled Chicken Avocado Burrito or want to add some avocado to your meal then I’ve got good news. I’m giving away a $20 gift card to one lucky winner. Enter below and good luck!

Anyone who knows me will tell you how obsessed with Del Taco I am! It’s one of the things I miss the most now that I’m in Australia, and it will likely be my first meal when I get off the plane in September. Nine times out of ten, I get the same meal: three regular hard-shelled tacos, a kids’ size fries, and a Cherry Coke. It’s simple, but there are few meals I enjoy more!
