Getty. Got It. Good. – Visiting the Getty Center

When discussing things to do in Southern California, the Getty is the go to museum. I’m sure many of you have already been there. Even so, I think it’s worth a recommendation as it is also a great bargain destination.

As you may know admission to the Getty is free. Hooray! Parking is $15. Boo! (Although not so bad for say, a van load full of people). But…after 5pm parking is also free! Huzahh, Hooray, and Bully!

Now, most days the Getty does close at 5:30, so you may think that’s a total jip. But…on Saturdays the Getty is open until 9pm. That is awesome! Most museums do have an evening when they are open late, but it’s usually during the week. To have a museum open late on a Saturday? That is a treat. Just think of the options. Never been to the Getty? You have four hours to explore. Been several times but really want to see that traveling exhibit? Totally free. Expansive views of the city at night? Take it all in!

So head on over to the Getty, whether it’s your first time or your twentieth, I guarantee you’ll be glad you did!
