Having the Best of Times at Fingerprints
So, I’m a huge music nerd. If you’d look at my album collection you would think it’s all kinds of crazy because there is nothing left out. Rock? Of course. Jazz? I’m hip to that. Country? Love me some Keith Urban. Parisian Cabaret? Oui. Opera, pop, electronica? Check.Check. And Check. Amidst all these genres the one that I have the largest quantity of is Indie Rock. I can’t live without my LCD Soundsystem, Cat Power, Modest Mouse and the rest of the lot.
So when I got an invite from Clarks Originals to check out the band Best Coast at Fingerprints Music on Record Store Day it was an offer I couldn’t refuse. Clarks? Love the brand. Best Coast? Love the band! I consider their song “The Only Place” my personal anthem.
So on a Saturday afternoon I found myself in one of my favorite record stores listening to a killer band. It was AWESOME.
As you can see I was toward the back. Didn’t matter because it was such a small crowd. The acoustics were amazing, the set list was tight, and Bethany, the lead singer, sang her heart out. I heard all my favorite songs and was happy, happy, happy!
