Having Dessert at Max Brenner

Much of my preparation for the trip to Las Vegas centered around dining. How could it not when Vegas is home to some of the best restaurants in the country? While scrolling through Yelp I came across a place called Max Brenner. I discovered it’s a cafe in The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace that’s largely devoted to one thing – chocolate. That sealed it. We would definitely be stopping by.

We decided to head there for dessert after our amazing dinner at Triple George Grill. I think Max Brenner is the only restaurant I’ve been to where the dessert menu is large than the entree menu. Seriously. The entree menu was standard sized and the dessert menu was a book. A book filled with all sorts of chocolatey goodness – crepes, waffles, cakes, cookies, fondues, shakes, sundaes…on and on and on.

As you know, summertime in Vegas spells one thing – H-O-T. So it was pretty easy to decide that I wanted a shake for dessert. Shannon came to the same conclusion and soon we found ourselves with the most amazing creations.

I went for the Salted Caramel and Shannon went for the Chocolate Hazelnut. Both were ah-mazing. And those cups…aren’t they awesome? They’re inspired by Alice in Wonderland. But back to the shake. Mine had vanilla ice cream, milk chocolate, sea salt caramel and fluffy whipped cream. It was the prefect antidote to a hot night on the Strip.

After dessert we stopped by the adjacent chocolate shop which is stuffed with more cocoa goodness you can take home. Thankfully, we were maxed out by the shakes or the shop would have taken more of our money than any slot machine could!
