Enjoying 479 Popcorn

full disclosure: I was given free product to try. All opinions are my own.

Awhile back while shopping at the awesome Local Fare at The OC Mart Mix I picked up a bag of Sea Salt Caramel Corn from 479° Popcorn. I love sea salt caramel and I just couldn’t resist picking up a bag. Oh. My. Goodness. It was so good!

So when 479°offered to send me some additional flavors to try it was all I could do to not reply “Heck yeah!” in the email. And when I received my samples in the mail I was blown away at the selection.

First there’s the savory:

Creamery Butter, Heirloom Popcorn + Sea Salt, and White Cheddar + Black Truffle.

The Creamery Butter and Heirloom Popcorn + Sea Salt are perfect for snacking. Just pop in a movie, sit back, and enjoy the delicious flavor. The White Cheddar + Black Truffle? Well, it’s much more sophisticated. Save it for a nice party when you want to impress your guests.

Now it’s no secret that I have a sweet tooth. (If you’re not convinced just check the dessert tag in the sidebar.) So let’s bring on the sugar!

Toasted Coconut Caramel, Chipotle Caramel + Pumpkin Seeds, and Sea Salt Caramel.

Whoa Nellie, where to begin? First off let’s just say these disappeared rather quickly.  I began with the Toasted Coconut Caramel. Are you a fan of delicious flavor? Because this is delicious. Forget sea salt caramel! Coconut caramel is the new ultimate flavor combination.

Then I moved on to the Chipotle Caramel + Pumpkin Seed. Sweet and sugary with just the right hint of spice. Yum!

Finally, I ended with the one that introduced me to 479° Popcorn – Sea Salt Caramel. It’s a classic and rightfully so. It is simply amazing. If you try it just once you’ll never go back to traditional caramel corn again.

You can find 479 Popcorn in specialty stores all over the country. Here in SoCal it’s available at Whole Foods. And you can order online, too.
