Painting with a Twist With Onsia Sound Art

Disclosure: I was invited to attend a Painting With a Twist class and received a free Onsia Sound Art Canvas. All opinions are my own.

I’ve never been much of an artist. I love to visit museums and admire great work but when it comes to doing it myself what’s in my head never seems to end up on the canvas. Luckily, there are ways for me to get around my lack of skills thanks to the rise of paint nights. You know, those get-togethers where you drink and take a painting class? They’re right up my alley. Recently, I was invited to visit Painting with a Twist in Huntington Beach to take such a class.

Painting with a Twist is a unique spot as it’s a permanent home for painting classes. No more tracking down them down at local pubs – everything you need is in one spot, including the bar!

In the class I attended we were to paint pictures of our pets. Bailey? It’s your moment to shine!

Prior to the class I email a picture of my pup and an in house sketch artist copied it onto canvas. And not just any canvas. For this class we were painting on Onsia SoundArt canvasses which are equipped with blue tooth technology that allows you to sync them with your music devices. So, instead of having an ugly speaker out you can have a beautiful work of art emitting your favorite tunes. At our class the founder of Onsia was on hand to demonstrate and it sounded pretty impressive!

But first, I had to make the beautiful piece of art. Luckily, I was equipped with a grid and the exacts colors of paint I needed to get the job done.

With a little help from the instructor I was able to pull off a pretty good image of Bailey.

That’s my cute pups!

It was a lot of fun and I’m excited to try the Onsia SoundArt at home. Right now it’s available exclusively at Painting with a Twist so be sure to book a class!
