Spending the Day in Belmont Shore with Entertainment Book

Recently, I was sent an Entertainment book to check out. If you’re not familiar, the Entertainment book contains a years worth of coupons to all sorts of dining, shopping, and entertainment in your local area. Naturally, I received the Los Angeles area book and spent part of an afternoon pouring over it’s contents. Oh the possibilities for this year. With coupons for locations in the South Bay to the Valley and all areas in between I’d be covered no matter where my adventures took me.

Of course, I had to take it for a test spin so I decided to grab a few Entertainment coupons and head to one of my favorit areas – Belmont Shore in Long Beach.

Belmont Shore is adjacent to the beach and has lots of fun shops and restaurants to try out. I took Shannon and we decided to make a day of it. Our first stop was Chronic Tacos.

There we grabbed some lunch and were able to score both our meals for the price of one with our handy dandy Entertainment coupon. It was a lot of food for a little bit of money!

Fully sated by hankering for something sweet we headed down the street to one of our favorite coffee shops – Polly’s Gourmet Coffee.

A chocolate cappuccino hit the spot. And with a 50% of coupon, how could we go wrong?

With a buy one get one free session coupon we were able to pick whatever we wanted to paint. I opted for a plaque while Shannon went for a plate.

We then spent the next couple of hours painting to our hearts content. I hadn’t colored ceramics since I was in high school and it was fun to revisit it for a day. I learned that in the years since my skills hadn’t improved any but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Shannon, on the other hand, is a true artist. The picture above is only the beginning to a super cute retro inspired plate.

As you can see, we had a fun day filled with sisterly bonding and we saved money to boot thanks to the Entertainment book.

What a fun day! I loved when my mom would get the Entertainment book but I haven’t got it in awhile!
