Poketo – A Unique Place to Shop
So yesterday was the LA Conservancy Arts District tour and I had a great time. I hit a couple of stops (hello Biscuit Lofts!) and spent the afternoon monitoring the line at 810 3rd Street. I met a lot of nice folks and was constantly reminded that we SoCal residents are one friendly bunch. But, I’m not here to write about the tour. Instead I’m going to focus on a particular resident of 810. 3rd Street – Poketo.
Poketo started out as an LA based creative design brand specializing in fun, vinyl wallets. The brand grew and grew and last year opened its flagship store in the heart of the Arts District.
Whenever I’m in the area I try to stop by and take a stroll around the shop. It’s filled with so many unique items that I just want to buy everything up. Like those foxes above. I’ll take one of each, please.
There’s really something for everyone here – hip kiddos, design nuts, stationary fiends, beauty mavens, and even the outdoorsy type.
I think I’ll take that cute little teapot also.
AND, now Poketo is starting to hold workshops at the store. You can stop in an learn to make a holiday wreath or write calligraphy.
Or you could just pick up a colorful basket. Whatever you want…Poketo is just that kind of store.
