Spotlight on Victoria’s Kitchen Almond Water

I’m a huge water drinker.  I drink it at work, at the gym, with my meals…it’s my go to beverage. But sometimes I do get sick of it and want something with a little more flavor. The thing is, I’m not a big soda drinker and I try not to drink too much juice. Therefore, I’m always looking for that drink with just a little something extra.

Awhile back I tried a sample of Victoria’s Kitchen Almond Water at a market and thought, “hmm, now this is interesting.” So I contacted them and they were kind enough to send me their entire line so I could really give it a whirl. And you know what? I like it!

Now you may be thinking, “almond water?” And I get it. It’s not something we see every day. But that makes it all the better. And it has a lovely origin story. David, the founder, has fond memories of his grandmother making homemade almond water for her grand kids. The recipe was handed down to him and it became a hit at his parties. From there he decided to bring it to market and the result is the bottles you see above.

There’s three flavors, Original, Coconut, and Mint & Licorice. They’re light and refreshing with just a hint of flavor. No overly sweet, overpowering drinks here. All ingredients are all natural with no artificial sweeteners or additives. I LOVE that because there’s nothing I hate more than artificial sweetener (except mayonnaise but we’ll leave that discussion to another day.) I’m hard pressed to choose a favorite but I’m a bit more inclined towards the original.

The vanilla and rose are subtle accents that make it quite delicious. Seriously, ever since I received the bottles I’ve been drinking a little each night with my dinner. It’s the perfect accompaniment.

And, it’s a good mixer too! The bottles came with a recipe card and, naturally, I had to try a cocktail. I went for the Silva Bullet – Malibu coconut, fresh mint, ice, and Victoria’s Kitchen Almond Water.

Ok, I just realized I was supposed to use the Coconut Almond Water. Whoops! Oh well, it was still quite tasty.

Next time I’m wanting something other than water I know exactly what I’m going to grab!
