Vintage LA Events at The Queen Mary & Culver Hotel

If you know me, you know I love anything vintage. Whether it’s prohibition era, fabulous forties, or mod-tastic sixties I’m all over it. In the coming weeks there’s a couple of fantastic event that are chock full of vintage glamour. So grab your fedora and fasicnator and get out there!

While enjoying your Labor Day weekend why not head over to The Queen Mary for the 10th Annual Art Deco Festival?

Art Deco Festival Vintage LA Events

All weekend long there will be a number of events celebrating all things Deco. If you can spare a dime you could buy a pass for the entire weekend and enjoy the Pajama Jam, Grand Deco Ball, Sunday Tea Dance and various tours and lectures. If times are bit tighter there are many events that offer individual tickets. For a mere $15 you can take an Art Deco tour of The Queen Mary or sample some prohibition era cocktails. Whether you’re a newbie or a complete Deco-phile there’s something for everyone at this fabulous event!

A week later on September 6, the historic Culver Hotel will be celebrating it’s 90th birthday with a swinging Prohibition Ball.

Culver Hotel Vintage LA Events

The historic Culver Hotel conveniently situated near MGM (now Sony Pictures) is significant piece of Hollywood history. Stars throughout the eras have stayed there and it was home base for the Munchkins during the filming of The Wizard of Oz. The Prohibition Ball will celebrate it’s storied past with a killer party straight out of 1924. There will be swing and jazz bands, casino games, cocktails, wandering entertainers, tasty bites, and fabulous photos ops amongst other things. It’s sure to be a night to remember!
