Celebrate Beverly Hills BOLD in August
When it comes to nightlife Beverly Hills isn’t the first spot that comes to mind. The Sunset Strip, Koreatown, West Hollywood, yes, but not Beverly Hills. Well, the city would like to change that. After all, it’s home to fine dining and some of the best shopping int the world so why shouldn’t it be a nighttime destination? And now, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night in August the town will be celebrating Beverly Hills BOLD and I was lucky enough to be there opening night.
Much of the activity centers around Rodeo and Beverly with the former closed to traffic each night so revelers can stroll the street. There are lots of activities including selfie spots, luxury car rides and live DJ’s.
In addition there are several vendors on Rodeo offering everything from snacks to fresh flowers.
Aren’t they the cutest?
On Beverly you’ll find several restaurants offering nightly discounts, an exhibition at the Paley Center (all about American Horror Story, eek!) and a live concert on Canon. On the night I visited it was a Dixieland jazz band and they were wonderful!
And if you head to the famous Beverly Hills sign at Beverly Gardens Park you’ll find the installation Portraits of Hope: Neon Nights by famed artist, Ed Massey. In the lily pond are over 1,000 brightly painted discs and 3D glasses are given so you can see them seem to rise from the water.
BOLD is the perfect excuse to get outdoors during those hot August nights. It offers the opportunity to really explore Beverly Hills and discover it’s fun, after dark side.
