Enjoying Seasonal Offerings at Hard Rock Cafe

When I was kid all I wanted to do was visit the Hard Rock Cafe. When I finally went I was super excited and bought myself a pin to celebrate (a kickin’ drum kit in case you’re curious). As things go, the location near me closed and suddenly it was years since my last visit. Recently, I was invited to try out their seasonal menu and, curious, I headed to the Hollywood location to give it a whirl.

You can’t visit a restaurant called Hard Rock and not have a drink. Right now the restaurant is offering a group of seasonally inspired cocktails including the She’s My Apple Pie shown above. A mixture of Fireball whiskey, apple juice, pineapple juice and salted caramel syrup topped with hard cider and whipped cream it smelled and tasted just like apple pie. It was a little too sweet for me but still a perfect fit for the season.

The current menu special is a Modelo Especial Bacon Cheeseburger. This indulgent entree is a half pound patty topped with lettuce, tomato, bacon, grilled poblano peppers, garlic aioli and Modelo Especial infused beer cheese. Wow! It is one big burger. It’s super tasty with just the right amount of kick. Because I’m a glutton for punishment I decided to pair it with the spicy Cajun fries and chipotle ketchup. Whoa Nelly! These were the best fries I’ve had in a long time. Loaded with flavor and accompanied by the delicious ketchup I did not leave one fry standing.

Shannon opted for less spice and paired her cheeseburger with Parmesan Romano fries and a garlic aioli.

I managed to sneak one of her plate and it was quite tasty.

After years away I was pretty impressed with my meal at Hard Rock Cafe. I don’t think it will be too long before I find myself back for more.
