Enjoying the Spring Menu at Stacked
Whadya know? It’s Spring! The flower are blooming, the birds are singing and Stacked has a new menu of delicious seasonal treats. Recently, I headed over there to sample some of the tasty items.
Nothing celebrates the bounty of the season like a fresh salad. This one is the Wild Arugula Mediterranean Salad topped with artichoke hearts, read and green peppers, toasted almonds and feta cheese. Tossed in a champagne vinaigrette it was a flavorful start to the meal.
I’m a big fan of arugula and was happy to find it featured in another menu item – Basil Pesto and Wild Arugula Flatbread. Fresh from the oven it was presented with a generous topping of arugula and red onions. For some reason I though the onions would be grilled as I’m not a fan of raw onion. Next time, I would opt out of them and just enjoy the pesto, cheese and arugula goodness that remains.
After multiple visits to Stacked I’ve decided they’re masters of the chicken sandwich. This Basil Pesto version did not disappoint. A fresh grilled chicken breast topped with pesto, Gouda cheese, tomato, arugula and a Parmesan breadcrumb crisp made for one delicious sandwich.
A visit to Stacked is not complete without dessert. I’m a huge chocolate mint fan and was excited to find out the Thin Mint Cookie Shake was the current limited edition offering. Filled with rich minty, chocolaty goodness it was the perfect end to the meal. Stacked, you’ve done it again!
