Enjoying a Summer BBQ With Food Should Taste Good
Summertime is synonymous with barbecue. Unfortunately, I don’t grill. I suppose I could but I don’t have the patience to perfectly grill my dishes and inevitably they end up charred on the outside and raw in the middle. It’s a shame because I love me some BBQ. Lucky for me I got to enjoy it this week thanks to Food Should Taste Good.
Food Should Taste Good is a natural chip brand that I’ve long been a fan of and was excited to see how it paired with bbq. The event was held at Mohawk Bend in Echo Park – a cavernous restaurant that I’m eager to revisit in the future. They’ve got an innovative menu and an extensive craft beer list. I was lucky enough to sample a delicious Blackberry and Blueberry Cider from Julian Hard Cider while snacking on some tasty chips.
The chip above is the Jalapeno which turned out to be my favorite. This corn chip is light and airy with a spicy kick. I ended up taking a bag home and…well…it’s long gone.
Food Should Taste Good wasn’t just there for snacking. It was also integrated into the bbq dishes we enjoyed.
Each dish was flavorful but my favorite was the Southwest Caesar Salad topped with the Blue Corn Chips. The chips added the perfect amount of crunch to this tasty dish.
Already a fan of Food Should Taste good I was happy to see the snack presented in this unique way. Next time I grab a bag I may have to stop myself from devouring it and use the chips as part of a recipe instead.
