Exploring Laguna Beach with ClueHoo
Laguna Beach is one of the most beautiful places in Southern California.
Just look at it! It’s like heaven on earth. Sadly, I don’t get there as often as I’d like but last Sunday I was able to spend the day exploring the town. And I mean exploring because I was on a ClueHoo adventure (disclosure: It was provided to me free for this review).
ClueHoo is an interactive scavenger hunt that is perfect for the whole family (including the four legged members). For my adventure I was accompanied by my mom, sister, and pups Bailey. We were a little concerned about bringing her as the adventure lasts from 2-3 hours but she handled it swimmingly.
The cool thing about ClueHoo is there is no set schedule. Just purchase your adventure, download the app, and head to the starting point (detailed in your reservation). There are three journeys to choose from with varying length and degrees of difficulty. All are suitable for the entire family but some routes have more hills and stairs than others. We opted for the Laguna Vista tour which was took us through various spots around town including the lovely Heisler Park.
Now here’s the hard part. I want to tell you all about the tour but I don’t want to give anything away. Basically, there are a series of clues which lead you to multiple locations throughout town. At each location there’s an interactive activity. There’s also optional bonus activities at each location. I tried a couple of these and they’re easy tasks that get you to look closer at your surroundings. It’s actually a lot of fun and a great way for a family to work together to achieve a goal. And there are surprise elements at each location. I don’t want to give anything away but here’s a sneak peek at what you may find:
What is that? An owl? A nest? A treasure? I don’t know….
Now that summer is upon us (technically the calendar says Spring but the weather is clearly indicating Summer) it’s the perfect outing. A day at the beach with adventure and treats thrown in. That’s right, treats. But you’re not going to get anymore out of me…you’re just going to have to book an adventure to find out!
