Got Four Bits? Lunch at Tacos el Chavito

Well then, you’ve got enough for a delicious taco from my new favorite food truck. Now, I’ve been a big fan of the gourmet food trucks that have been popping up right and left but I can rarely recommend them here because they’re usually not budget friendly. So I’m super excited that I now have one to recommend.

Tacos el Chavito is actually a traditional taco truck. It’s got a small menu of tacos, burritos, and tortas. They are available in a variety of flavors from basics like asada and carnitas to the more exotic like…well I couldn’t tell ya cuz I’m a chicken and won’t try them. But, use your imagination and they’ve probably got it.

Anyway, the best part is that the tacos are only 50 cents apiece. 50 cents! Now granted they are street tacos and are on the small side, but so what! I got four and it only cost me two bucks! And if you want a burrito or torta those are two bucks apiece.

So, like I said I ordered four tacos – two asada and two carnitas. There was a total line but I had my food in less than five minutes.

Don’t they look soooooo good? And they were. Truly authentic Mexican street tacos. A tad spicy, but oh so tasty. And they went perfectly with the pineapple aqua fresca. Oh did I not mention that? If you ask, they’ll give you a cup on the house.

So, I basically spent $2 for a full meal. Love it, love it, love it.
