Hat Shopping at Goorin Bros. in San Francisco

After our amazing breakfast at Mama’s my sister and I decided to visit another one of our favorite North Beach spots – Goorin Bros Hat Shop. Now I have to admit…there are several Goorin Bros. locations including some right near where we live. So why would we bother visiting this one? Well, because it’s the flagship location.

Goorin Bros. began in 1895 and moved to San Francisco in 1949. Today the company is still family owned and the hats are made in America. Hooray! This fun video shows a bit of the history of the brand.

The hats are in one word – amazing.

I want them all! Sadly, most are out of my budget and I have only one hat in my Goorin Bros. collection.

The North Beach location is extra awesome because it’s huge and beautifully decorated.

And it has a fun little spot that I think most people miss – a mini museum! On the second floor is a small exhibit detailing the history of the company.

Love it.

So that’s why whenever we’re in North Beach we make sure to stop by Goorin Bros. Hopefully, next time my budget will include the cost of one of their distinguished chapeaus.
