Shopping at BAIT Footwear
I love vintage fashion but it doesn’t really love me and I can rarely find pieces in my size. Thanks to Mod Cloth and other online retailers I’ve managed to discover the world of vintage inspired fashion. Super cute, stylish and available in a wide range of sizes it’s allowed me to add several fun pieces to my wardrobe. I’ve now got cute skirts, tops and dresses but what about my feet? A super cute outfit is not complete without a great pair of shoes! That’s where BAIT Footwear steps in. Initially available online or through select retailers they recently opened a boutique in Long Beach and it’s become my go to shoe store.
Located in the East Village Arts District it’s a quaint, cheery shop . But don’t let its size fool you! There are tons of shoes available in a myriad of styles and colors. In the summer I headed there for a pair of sandals and snagged the Kira in blue (seen on the bottom shelf). Not only are they super cute but they’re downright comfy. I even wore them to the Pokey Lafarge concert and my feet survived a night of dancing intact.
In addition to sandals BAIT has heels, boots, flats…you name it they’ve got it. Recently, I headed back to the shop to get a pair of fall shoes. I love the candy colored hues from spring but it was time to darken my wardrobe.
I love these so much! As much as I want them I don’t wear heels that much so on my visit I was seeking out something more practical.
But the heels were so tempting! I loved them all but held my ground and bought a practical pair of flats. Super comfy they’re ideal for work and play. I also snagged a super cute purse because, of course, BAIT sells accessories.
Turbans, purses, socks, tights, totes…pretty much everything you need to complete your outfit. Except for jewelry. They don’t sell that…yet.
I’m so happy BAIT Footwear is located in Long Beach and is super convenient to me. My wallet probably thinks it’s a little too convenient buy, hey, you only live once!
