Wild Argentinian Red Shrimp Now Available at Rubio’s
There once was a time when I disliked all shellfish but then I discovered the wide world of shrimp and soon changed my tune. I love shrimp fried, I love shrimp grilled, I love it skewered, sushi’d and over pasta. And then there’s tacos. Mmmmmm. Lucky for me, Rubio’s just added Wild Argentinian Red Shrimp to their menu and they invited me to try it out.
Tacos! Yup, Rubio’s offers the shrimp in a two taco plate with chips and beans on the side. The shrimp is grilled in a blend of butter, smoked paprika, sun-dried tomatoes, sea salt, garlic and oregano and then topped with fresh avocado, salsa, cabbage and Rubio’s famed chipotle sauce. The result? Deee-licious. The shrimp is fresh and abundant and the flavors just meld together in perfect harmony.
If you’re not a fan of tacos you can also order the Argentinian shrimp in a bowl. It’s grilled with the same delicious butter sauce and then combined with citrus rice, black beans, cabbage, salsa, avocados and chipotle sauce. It’s also a tasty combo that happens to be quite good for you, too.
I’m a big fan of both dishes but my favorite is the taco plate. I can’t wait to head back to Rubio’s and grab another.
