Hidden Huntington Beach – Bailey’s Back With An Adventure

Hi All! I’m back!  Did ya miss me?
Sorry I’ve been gone so long. I had an attack of the allergies and couldn’t go out and about for awhile. As you can see from the photo above I was non too happy about that. Luckily, I’m better now and recently Melanie and I went on another adventure.

When Melanie was in Huntington Beach she came across a mysterious sight. Behind a white picket fence there appeared to be some sort of walking trail. Curious she came home and got me and we went to check it out.

Huntington Beach
It was a trail! It’s right behind Huntington Beach Central Park and Equestrian Center but it doesn’t look like it’s a part of it. Personally, I was hoping to come across some horses but it was just us two that day.  We walked around and saw lots of interesting things.
The most interesting was a garden we found fenced off. Melanie says it reminded her of a book she loved called The Secret Garden but I wouldn’t know. These paws don’t make it too easy for me to read. Anyway, there was a gate and when Melanie tried it it was open! We walked around and saw some lovely plants.
We thought maybe it was a brand new place but then we came across this marker.
Ok, that’s a little hard to read. Basically, it turns out that the garden was founded in October 2001. 2001! Why is it hidden? Why is nobody there? Why is it fenced off? It’s a mystery!
That makes us both like this place even more. Nice nature trails, pretty plants, not many people (or other dogs, grrr), and a genuine mystery? I can’t wait to go again!
