Christmas at Union Station
Tomorrow is Christmas and I’m ready for it. The presents are wrapped, the tree is trimmed and I’m filled with holiday spirit. At the beginning of the season I strove to embrace it and, with the help of my family and friends, I succeeded. Together we attended celebrations celebrations, had festive decorations and decorations and viewed decorations decorations. On the eve of my favorite holiday I thought I’d share with you one final festive activity – visiting a decked out Union Station. Long one of my favorite spots in all of Los Angeles I had never before visited it during the holidays. But last week they were holding a Holiday TrainFest and I couldn’t resist attending.
As my family and I approached the historic site we were happy to see it decked out in alternating red and green. Upon entering, the hall was equally impressive with Christmas trees and wreaths galore.
We headed out to Track 14 where the celebration was underway. There was hot cocoa, carolers and historic trains all decked out for the holidays.
The train cars were open for viewing it was so fun to explore their historic environs.
We couldn’t resist replaying our favorite White Christmas scene in the club car.
Just before exiting we came across the big man himself and had to snap a pic.
One last stop at the courtyard Christmas tree and we were off on more holiday adventures.
Union Station is a wonderful place and at Christmas it’s extra special. I’m so glad I paid it a visit.
Hi, I love your blog! Thank you so much for visiting beautiful Union Station at Christmas and taking so many great photos. I live in San Diego and can’t travel and explore as much as I used to, so I really appreciate your taking the time and interest to share your adventures around Southern CA. Long may you roam!
Thank you so much for the lovely compliments!
