Dine Out for No Kid Hungry at The Habit Burger Grill

As I’m often on the go I’m frequently in need of a quick meal. Unfortunately, I don’t really like fast food which leaves me with few options. Luckily, there’s The Habit Burger Grill. With their freshly grilled Charburgers and tasty sides it’s the perfect spot when I’m in a pinch. Recently, they invited me to stop by and try their new Hatch Chile items while learning about Dine Out for No Kid Hungry (I also received a gift card during my visit). Delicious food and a good cause? I’m there!

Did you know we’re in the thick of Hatch Chile season? Grown in New Mexico these tasty peppers have become increasing popular in recent years. To celebrate, The Habit is offering special limited edition menu items featuring it.

On our visit we started with the Hatch Chile Chicken Salad. Fresh lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and cabbage are topped with feta cheese, cilantro, black beans, lime marinated chicken and char-grilled Hatch Chiles. Combined with a housemade cilantro ranch dressing it makes for a refreshingly delicious dish. I’ve never been partial to The Habit’s salads but this one may change my tune. It was so fresh and flavorful that I can’t wait to try it again.

In addition to the salad The Habit is also serving the Hatch Chile Chicken Sandwich and the Hatch Chile Charburger. Both are their signatures dishes topped with melted jack cheese, chipotle salsa and freshly grilled Hatch Chiles. The Hatch Chile is spicy but not unbearably so and both dishes have just the right amount of kick. I’d be hard pressed to choose between them but you can’t go wrong with the Charburger. When it comes to burgers The Habit has it down!

While it was a lot of fun celebrating Hatch Chile season there’s another promotion that’s far more important. During the month of September The Habit is partnering with No Kid Hungry to raise funds to feed those children in America who don’t have enough to eat. Last year they were able to raise over $200,000 for this worthy cause and this year they aim to raise even more. At every location customers will be able to make a donation through the end of the month and every person who donates $2 or more gets a coupon for a free Charburger!

Delicious food and a good cause, what could be better?
