Dining at Chronic Tacos

<Between my day job and this blog I find myself constantly on the go. As such, I’m always looking for quick meals that keep me going. I’m not a big fast food fan so I’m constantly looking for new counter service options. Enter Chronic Tacos. Recently, I was invited to stop by and try them out. Fast, fresh Mexican food? I’m there!

Chronic Tacos

Chronic Tacos was founded in Newport Beach in 2002 and has been serving up fresh tacos, burritos and more ever since. Today there are over 30 locations in the US and Canada with more set to open next year. It’s quickly becoming the go to quick taco spot!

The menu items are made to order and completely customizable. On my visit I decided to try the Tostada bowl filled with refried beans, seasoned rice, freshly cooked carne asada, lettuce, jack cheese, pico de gallo, cilantro and guacamole. The bowl was a flavorful and filling meal.

In addition to the bowl I also was able to try a couple of other menu options. I’ve got a weakness for potato tacos and was excited to find them on the menu.

Seasoned potatoes topped with cheese and lettuce in a crunchy tortilla shell made for a fantastic taco. I enjoyed the Tostada bowl but I LOVED the taco. Freshly made and brimming with flavor I could easily make a meal out of 2 or 3 tacos alone. Actually…I better make it 2 so I can save room for the churro bites.

Oh man! Most take out spots offer stale chocolate chip cookies as dessert but not Chronic Tacos. Instead they have delicious miniature churros generously coated in cinnamon sugar. So SO yummy.

I’m super stoked that I finally dug into the Chronic Tacos menu. Now I have a new go to spot for a quick meal.
