Enjoying Carmela Ice Cream

Carmela is one of those places that I’d been meaning to write about forever but somehow hadn’t. Part of the reason was their location is in a part of Pasadena that I rarely venture to. But then something wonderful happened. They opened a second location! And it’s right in the heart of Los Angeles on 3rd and Fairfax. Now, that’s a place I always find myself.

So, recently I made sure to stop by. I love the way the stores look.

So elegant yet so inviting.

I perused the menu a bit…

and, of course, tried a sample. I finally narrowed it down to two scoops – lemon verbena vanilla bean and lavender honey.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
