Enjoying Fried Chicken at Early Bird Cafe

Recently, I was invited to visit the Early Bird Cafe in Fullerton to try out their menu. Or more specifically, to try their fried chicken. You see, they were having an Elvis & Fried Chicken evening.

Celebrating the king with some tasty fried chicken? Sounds good to me. Well, except the fried chicken part. Yes, I’m one of those rare Americans that don’t like fried chicken (don’t worry I love apple pie!). But, I’m open minded. And Early Bird sure had good reviews on Yelp so I figured I’d give it a whirl.

Wow! Have I been wrong about fried chicken all these years? I don’t know about that but this particular fried chicken was deelicious! Crispy crunchy, full of flavor, and accompanied with a delicious trio of dipping sauces…mm mm mm.

There were also potatoes, creamed corn, and slaw for the side. The slaw was my favorite – it was a bit of spicy, tangy goodness.

But what about Elvis? No worries. He stopped by, too.
