Ice Cream In the AM – A Visit to Sprinkles Ice Cream

So yesterday I told ya all about my visit to the Sprinkles ATM. Well, that ingenious invention happens to be located smack dab in the middle of Sprinkles Cupcakes and Sprinkles Ice Cream. Wha???? Sprinkles now serves ice cream????

Honestly, I already knew they were opening an ice cream shop. But, I didn’t know it was already open. Curious, I decided to check it out. I walked in and ran smack dab into the menu (NOT literally).
Cus it’s posted right on the wall. So many options….ice cream sandwiches, cones, sundaes…oh my! Luckily they weren’t busy and the employees were super friendly so they offered me some samples (only two per person!). I tried the mint chip and salted caramel. Both were good but I was feeling the caramel a little more. Now I could have that in a cone or a cup. I saw they had red velvet cones and decided “that’s for me!” So, one salted caramel in a red velvet cone coming right up!

When I was at the register I told the employee I had no idea they were open already. Turns out it’s been less than a month AND it turns out their lines are usually INSANE. Standard one hour waits! Opening day two and a half hours????? Holy Moley! I told her that I guess I was pretty lucky it was slow when I went and she said “mornings are usually slow.” Oh! Is it morning? I had no idea how early it was. Ice cream for a morning snack…I see no problem with that.

So, I sat down to enjoy my cone.

And…it was good. I really like the ice cream. The cone, not so much. It was seriously nothing special and it was $1 extra! I’ll never do that again. All in all, my bill came to $4.50 – $3.50 for the ice cream, $1 for the red velvet cone. Honestly, here in Cali, not so bad pricing.

And I’d take their ice cream over their cupcakes any day.
