Spending Time at Seein’ Spots Farm in Solvang
Just before Christmas my extended family headed up to Solvang for a pre-holiday getaway. Since the trip was more about family than sightseeing we spent most of the time relaxing and re-visiting some of our favorite spots – lunch at Pea Soup Andersen’s, dinner at Cold Springs Tavern and a stop at Seein’ Spots Farm.
Seein’ Spots Farm is located in the tiny community of Ballard and is known for its resident miniature donkeys.
But, it’s so much more than that. Seen’ Spots houses an array of rescue animals from chickens to pigs to goats to horses…and a little bit of everything in between!
On weekends, the farm is open to the public from 11am-3pm and, for a small donation, you can visit the animals.
It’s like an extra large petting zoo with the cutest animals you’ll ever meet.
My very favorite are the miniature donkeys. They’re so sweet and are happy to have you pet them forever. I always end up wanting to bring one home with me!
There are a view animals that are in their own enclosures including Zeyore the zonkey. Yup, he’s a zebra donkey mix.
I love visiting Seein’ Spots because the animals are clearly so happy there. I wish all rescue pets could end up in a place like this.
Ohhhh I need a miniature donkey!!!! I guess a lot of people say that and that’s how they end up at rescue places. But they’re soooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuute.
I know! And they’re so sweet! The owner said they’re just like puppy dogs.
