Spotlight On Local Brand Plush Puffs Gourmet Marshmallows

Man, I love a good marshmallow. Always have. In fact, one of my favorite memories is visiting a marshmallow factory on a family trip to Las Vegas. Recently, I was sent a selection to try from Plush Puffs Gourmet Marshmallows. Whoa Nelly, they’ve taken the treat to a whole new level.

Plush Puffs are artisan marshmallows – all natural and made in delicious flavors like Peppi-Mint and Caramel Swirl. In fact, those two were my favorite flavors. The Caramel Swirl tasted just like vanilla ice cream with a caramel ribbon and I at them by the handful.

And the Peppi-Mint. Oh, the Peppi-Mint. I loved eating these straight but I also decided to try them in a cup of hot cocoa.

They melted so perfectly into the cocoa that they created the most delicious peppermint/chocolate/marshmallow topping. I was so enthusiastic about drinking it that I slurped it up…and burnt my tongue. But, no worries, it was all worth it.

When I got to the Vanilla Bean I decided to roast them over the stove (there was no campfire to be found).

So good! It really brought out the vanilla flavor. As I was eating it, inspiration struck. Could I? Should I? Yes! I took the roasted marshmallows and placed them over chocolate ice cream.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

So, once again I’ve found another local brand (based out of Burbank) that has created a delicious product. Seriously, there’s something in the air here.
