Visiting the 826 Valencia Pirate Supply Store

Cue the Boyz II Men because we’ve come to the end of the road…trip. Yup this is my last installment of the San Francisco edition. I’ve enjoyed the ride and I hope you have, too.

Remember when I told you all about the Time Travel Mart? Well, that tutoring center slash mini mart to all time travelers is but one of several 826 organizations nationwide. In fact the very first location is in San Francisco – 826 Valencia. But instead of an all eras convenience store its storefront serves the pirate trade. Yup, it’s home to the Pirate Supply Store.

This amazing place covers all your pirating needs. Need some Scurvy Begone? They’ve got it.

How about some sea salt “for the wounds of enemies and bland meat?” Yup.
A pair of designer hooks? Check.
Don’t forget their vast selection of eye patches.
And you can’t miss looking through the wall bins for a variety of pirating essentials.
But seriously, the Pirate Supply Store is truly captivating. If I took the time to read all the clever signage that abounds I would be in there for hours. Here’s a few of my favorites.

Man, I love this place. Hours of entertainment, amazing products (I can never leave without buying one of their clever t-shirts) and an excellent cause. It is an essential place to visit whenever you’re in San Francisco.
