Wild About Woody – Visiting The Humorist Exhibit at Gallery 1988
So last year I told you all about an art exhibit inspired by the fabulous Arrested Development (new season coming soon, squeeee!) at Gallery 1988 on Melrose. Well, Gallery 1988 has an additional location in Santa Monica and recently they held an exhibition called “The Humorist.” Now, who could that be dedicated to?
Here’s a clue. He wears dark rimmed glasses…plays the clarinet…has a neurotic nature…loves Manhattan…
Yup, you guessed it. Woody Allen.
Now, I LOVE Woody Allen. As a director as an actor as a comedian. NOT as a creepy old guy who married his girlfriend’s daughter that he partially raised. Yuck. But give me one of his films and I’m in seventh heaven. So, naturally I had to see this exhibit.
And it was awesome! There are really so many talented people around. The art they come up with is amazing. So I thought I’d share some of my favorite pieces with you. Because youcan’tactuallyseetheexhibitanymorebecauseit’sclosed. Oops. Let’s blame that on the virus I was dealing with all last week.
But enjoy what you see here and more can be found on Gallery 1988’s website.
