Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!

Ok, so you may have noticed some changes going on around here. Like the entire look of my blog, actually. As much as I loved the old design I knew I needed something fresh, something unique, something a bit more professional. And since I’m pretty much technologically illiterate I knew I was going to have to find someone to help me with my redesign.

Enter Audrey of The Idea Girl blog.  A few months ago I discovered her corner of the internet and was instantly smitten. I loved her design, her witty prose and her incredible DIY lifestyle. I also happened to notice that her about me page mentioned she was a graphic designer. Hmmm…

Soon I needed an advertisement created and shot her an email and asked if she was interested in the project. She readily agreed and soon after that I decided to go in for a whole redesign. After a little back and forth she came up with the perfect theme –

Impressive, isn’t it. She came up with this awesome, original design using this picture as inspiration.

Now, when Audrey took on this assignment, I wonder if she knew what she was getting herself into. Remember when I mentioned that I was technologically illiterate. Weeeelllll…let’s just say I ran into a bit of difficulty implementing the designs she came up with. So I asked her over and over again for assistance and she was always there to help. This seriously went above and beyond our original agreement. She could have told me any time to just figure it out, after all it wasn’t what I hired her for. I don’t remember anything in our agreement about a blog redesign PLUS multiple html tutorials. But, like I said, she never stopped assisting me. And always with detailed, easy to understand instructions. And always with a friendly attitude. ABOVE AND BEYOND.
