Dining at Stacked Cerritos

Sometimes I can be a bit picky about my ingredients. I love trying new cuisines but there are some things that I just can’t take – mayonnaise, mustard and olives to name a few. Recently, I was invited to a media dinner at Stacked in Cerritos. Stacked is a restaurant where you place your order via an Ipad at your table. This allows you to mix and match ingredients customizing your dishes. Sounds good to me!

The evening started out with cocktails and appetizers.

I’ve been on a cucumber cocktail kick and this one did not disappoint! It was a light and refreshing – a perfect accompaniment to the Flying Pigs. These are pork bites that are lightly fried then topped with a spicy sweet sauce. They are finger licking good!

For my entree I went for The Wrangler salad – crispy chicken, corn, black beans, spicy jack, jicama, avocado and tortilla strips. Yum! It looked so good the only alteration I made was removing red onions. And since I had a salad I opted for a little side treat.

Stacked Cerritos

A combo of homemade chips and sweet potato fries. Stacked offers a wide variety of sauces so I decided to try a few – bbq, curry ketchup, garlic aioli and butternut squash aioli. They all were delicious and I took turns dipping fries and chips into them. The butternut squash aioli paired particularly well with the sweet potato fries.

For dessert, I decided to to customize a shake. I paired mint chip ice cream with chocolate sauce and marshmallows. Mm, mm, mm. Mint and marshmallows should always go together.

In addition to Cerritos Stacked has locations in Thousand Oaks, San Diego and Torrance. Hopefully, there are more to come because it’s one tasty dining spot!
