Enjoying Breakfast at Anepalco’s Cafe

Last week found me hanging around St. Joseph Hospital in Orange for a couple of days. No worries, it was a minor issue. Plus, it gave me an opportunity to stop by the delicious Anepalco’s Cafe.

My last visit was a couple of years ago and, let me tell you, that was far to long. On that visit I went for lunch and had some of the best enchiladas I’ve ever had in my life. This time we stopped by for breakfast and it was just as good. I went for Anepalco’s Chilaquiles.

Isn’t that just incredible looking??? And it’s so so good containing tortilla chips, scrambled eggs, cotija cheese, sour cream, avocado mousse, and pico de gallo.

Now the thing about Anepalco’s is that it’s not strictly Mexican. There’s lots of French influence with a variety of crepes on the menu and there’s also some American breakfast items. Like the Sunrise Breakfast Sandwich that my companion had.

I sneaked a bite and it was oh so tasty. It had scrambled eggs, ham, mozzarella cheese, tomato, lettuce, and chipotle ranch. And those potatoes were delicious, too.

I hope it doesn’t take me another couple of years to get back to Anepalco’s. I don’t think my stomach can stand the wait!
