Going Crazy In the Kitchen

Some days you just need to step back from the researching and the exploring and the writing and just enjoy yourself. And that’s precisely what I did today. Feeling creative, I opened my recipe file and got to cooking. It was a dessert kind of day and I ended up making five (5!) different things. Behold the fruits of my labor –

Honeycomb dipped in bittersweet chocolate (from the awesome blog Crazy For Crust)
 Chocolate Almond Oat Bars
¬†Peaches n’ Sour Cream Ice Cream
Chocolate Coconut Ice Cream
Raspberry Thyme Syrup (added to seltzer water for a homemade soda)
Man! I wish I had taken a decent picture before my ice cream started to melt!
