Between work and my explorations I’m always out and about. I rarely have time to relax let alone get a good night’s sleep. As such, I’m constantly on the look out for a good morning pick me. You see, I shouldn’t drink coffee because it makes me jittery and I can’t sleep at night if I drink it too late. And by late I mean 8am. Seriously. It’s super annoying.

Enter ON Power Refreshment. Based out of Orange County this beverage company offers an all natural energy boosting drink. I was lucky enough to receive a few samples to try out.

As you can see, it comes in five flavors – Raspberry Limeade, Peach Mango, Tropical Citrus, Blueberry Lemonade, and Dragonfruit Tangerine. I took to sampling them and found them to be pretty tasty. My favorite, was the Blueberry Lemonade. Yum!

But what exactly is ON? Well, it was developed by Dr. Rob Paul, a Clinical Neuropsychologist. He was looking for an energy drink that provided real, healthy results and came up with ON. There are two key ingredients – ornithine and caffeine. We all know about caffeine but what is ornithine? According to ON, it’s an amino acid that stimulates the breakdown of carbohydrates, proteins and fat and reduces ammonia. Combined with caffeine it provides the drinker with a true energy boost. And there’s no preservatives, gluten, soy, GMO’s, or artificial color or sweetener (it’s sweetened with stevia and cane sugar).
