New Spring Menu Items at Rubio’s, The Habit and Yogurtland

When it comes to dining I’m always game for an adventure. Very rarely do I fall back on the same dish and instead like to explore all a menu offers. So when my favorite spots offer new dishes I’m all over them. Recently, I was lucky enough to be treated to new offerings at Rubio’s, The Habit and Yogurtland I’m ready to tell you all about them.

As partial as I am to their seafood I’m happy that Rubio’s has added a new chicken dish to their menu. The Chipotle Chicken Ranch Burrito features fire-roasted corn, Mexican rice, black beans,  tortilla strips, chicken, cheese and a chipotle ranch sauce. Now, I’m not a huge ranch person but I really loved this burrito. The creaminess of the ranch blends so well with the smokiness of the chipotle and the result is a hearty, tasty burrito.

The Habit may be famous for their char-grilled burgers but I must admit I’m partial to their chicken sandwiches. Recently, they introduced the Guacamole Crunch Charburger and it just might be the item to bring me back to the burger. Featuring house made guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese, a crunchy tostada shell and an ancho chili lime sauce it’s chock full of flavor. With a kick of spice it’s a tasty treat.

As filling as the above dishes are there’s always room for dessert and Yogurtland just release three new flavors – Sea Salt Caramel Soft Serve, Hibiscus Pear Tart and White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. The Sea Salt Caramel is soft and creamy but just a tad too sweet for my taste. The Hibiscus Pear Tart is a fresh, refreshing flavor and just perfect for the summer months. And the White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake? So, so tasty. The cheesecake flavor cuts into the raspberry creating a sweet tart flavor. Yum! And topped with dark chocolate chunks? Delicious!

I’ve had a lot of fun trying all the new offerings from Rubio’s, The Habit and Yogurtland. All reasonably priced they’re tasty additions to the menu and just may stop my exploring altogether.
